I’m trying to whip up a little textmate command based on this:

But can’t seem to figure out how to get it to authenticate to flickr
using my own flickr api key.

I’ve tried various combinations of parameters with Flickr.new but I
get either insufficient privileges, or key is expired errors.

The doc doesn’t seem very clear on how to configure flickr.rb.

I’ve also run across at least one page via google which indicates that
it just doesn’t work anymore.

Any ideas? Alternatives?

I joined Flickr only very recently. When I did I downloaded their
widget, and tried to authorize it. Their own widget sent me to a page
which said a third-party widget had sent me to the wrong place and not
to bother them about since it was the third-party widget developer’s
problem. I understood what had happened but I guarantee my parents
wouldn’t have. So I sent them a mail chiding them, and I still use the
Web to upload pics to Flickr.

Long story short: it might not be the gem.

A year ago I e-mailed Flickr with a bug report and Stewart Butterfield
answered back. I sent them an e-mail about the circular support issue,
bupkis.
