# Broken pipe and send mail

I’ve problems sending mail from my rails app

In the app config/enviroment.rb file I have this settings:

ActionMailer::Base.delivery\_method = :sendmail

ActionMailer::Base.sendmail\_settings = {  
:location =\> ‘/usr/sbin/sendmail’,  
:arguments =\> ‘-i -t’  
}

I’ve followed this gide:

But when I try to send mail I get a broken pipe error.

I will apreciate any feedback

Hello,

I think you must install sendmail program as you say with the line  
/usr/sbin/sendmail.

You can try with sudo apt-get install sendmail

I tried that and now everything is working.
