# Auto\_complete\_for not found?

I tried installing the plugin and it told me it was already installed  
but when i go to use it it tells me:

undefined method `auto\_complete\_for’ for AdminController:Class

Here is how i have added it:

class AdminController \< ApplicationController  
before\_filter :check\_authentication, :check\_authorization  
auto\_complete\_for :user, :username  
/other code/

end

Any thoughts?

Have you restarted the application?

I did restart the application. It still did not work.

here is the plug-in i want to use:

does this come installed on the latest Rails?

Nope, you need to install it

```
script/plugin install auto_complete

```
