I’m looking to use something like:

to generate several 100 images, and then run some other ruby program to
combine the images into a video file (mpeg or mov or any standard
format.)

Is there a ruby library for this?

Thanks.

Here’s the word on ImageMagick’s support for movies:
[Common Formats -- IM v6 Examples](http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/formats/#mpeg).

Thanks, I started using ffmpeg and it couldn’t have been easier.

if you have seq1.png, seq2.png, seq3.png, etc. run

ffmpeg -i seq%d.png test.mov

and it works perfectly.

Wonderful! The right tool for the job.
