# Action web services

Hi All,

I am new to ruby web services. when i created a web service using the  
ruby script/server web\_service item. The service files are created and  
added line config.gem ‘datanoise-actionwebservice’, :lib =\>  
‘actionwebservice’ in environment.rb in config folder.

when i am accessing this url [http://localhost:3000/item](http://localhost:3000/item) i am getting the  
following error and i have attached a screenshot of the error.

TypeError in ItemController#index

can’t convert MissingSourceFile to String
