Hi –

Today only, Manning is giving 50% off print books, if you use the code
pop0907 when you check out.

Manning books include “The Well-Grounded Rubyist” (by me) and “Ruby in
Practice” (Jeremy McAnally et al.).

“The Well-Grounded Rubyist” is for programmers who are new to Ruby,
and also for people who have done some work with Ruby (possibly via
Rails, but not necessarily) and want a solid foundation in the
language and how it works.

“Ruby in Practice” gives you practical advice and techiques to use in
a wide range of application areas: testing, databases, text
processing, and more.

Also, there’s a quiz going on at Manning with daily prizes:

David

P.S. I’m writing this on my own initiative, not as a Manning
representative (which I’m not), and I can’t be held responsible if any
of the offers change.
