Job Description

Posted about 2 months ago

Anvyl is a high-growth SaaS company in the supply chain space that is transforming the way organizations manage suppliers, oversee production, and track in-depth product data from procurement to delivery of inbound goods. We believe everyone should be able to create the physical products they want to see in the world.

Our cloud platform is purpose-built to automate and streamline activities in ways that align with how supply chain production teams operate and act daily. Today, many of our customers are some of the most recognized D2C brands in the consumer-packaged goods space.

We are looking for a highly motivated Product Engineer who not only worries about code quality, but thinks about how to best meet our customers' product needs. This position demands a high level of output, but also is a great opportunity for growth and mentorship. In this role, you will face many challenges - from building scalable systems to supporting new product features. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves to collaborate with others but can also work independently to take an idea from concept to implementation. We're a hardworking, energetic team that is passionate about our customers and believes that to be successful we should never stop learning: learning about our customers, our product, and how to build better software.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and ship product features end-to-end for our core foundation team
  • Work on our Ruby on Rails backend
  • Make application architecture decisions
  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software bugs
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and PMs
  • Write well-designed, maintainable testable code
  • Be product-minded and think about the customer
  • Work with Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, and Docker
  • Work on a distributed team
  • Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience developing web-based applications
    • Experience writing REST / JSON APIs and backend services using Rails or a similar framework.
    • Ability to solve technical problems independently
    • Motivation to work hard and always be learning
    • Experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, as well as ORMs
    • Experience driving, executing, and delivering high quality technical solutions.
    • Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and identify the right tradeoffs to deliver tangible results for our customers.
    • Bonus: Experience with a modern front-end framework (Ember, Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
    • What We Value:

      • Desire to learn and grow
      • Bias towards action
      • Team-oriented attitude, you derive joy from seeing others succeed
      • Enthusiasm for, and interest in, how technology impacts the physical world we live in
      • Great restaurant recommendations!
      • Benefits

We are a team that believes in cooperation, learning, quality, and putting our people and customers up front. We are a small company offering large company benefits - health, dental, and vision offerings, 401k availability, and many more perks. We are a remote company and want to make sure our employees have the flexibility to do their work where they feel best, and know that they can step away to recharge with our unlimited paid time away.

We are a diverse team spanning all professions, cultures, races, gender, and orientations. Our teammates are located across the country as well as in China, giving us a truly global footprint. We enjoy spending time together in person when - especially if there is Korean BBQ - or having a group brain-storming session on the next product innovation.

        #LI-Remote
