About the Role

Stitch Fix’s Warehouse Platform team is looking for a bright, kind Lead Engineer who is eager to collaborate with a distributed team. This team is responsible for building the interfaces between the business and warehouse operations.  Stitch Fix continues to innovate to help people find what they love and to make this possible, the warehouses continue to expand in size and complexity. To enable rapid innovation, the Warehouse Platform team must create systems that allow for business flexibility while reliably ensuring clients’ requests can be fulfilled. This team will help guide the organization into a new era of technical maturity and opportunity.  As a Lead on this team, you will play a critical role on a migration from our legacy data model and interfaces to those that enable our company growth to accelerate.

We’re looking for a Lead Engineer who is experienced in designing, implementing and monitoring distributed systems. As a part of this team, you will develop a deep and broad understanding of how Stitch Fix works.  This team has clients across many parts of the organization and it is your responsibility to collaborate with technical leaders across domains to build a roadmap and execute on high visibility deliverables.

  • You have experience with Postgres, Redis and/or RabbitMQ.
  • You may have experience working remotely.
  • You have experience leading other engineers and are interested in developing your leadership qualities. As the team grows you will have the opportunity to mentor and lead junior engineers.
  • You have deep respect for your craft. You're always looking for better ways to write software and are enthusiastic about sharing them with your team.
