Ruby on Rails Developer (middleweight) (UK only)

Unfortunately the role is only open to UK residents who have the right to work here (without visa). As a small startup we can’t support international moves, remote work or visa applications at this time. We also are not interested in agency applications at this time, only direct candidates.

Looking for a UK-based, somewhat experienced Ruby on Rails developer (if you no longer consider yourself “junior” but aren’t comfortable with calling yourself “senior”, then that’s likely the right place). We need someone reliable and self-motivated. We’re happy to guide you to find answers and learn what you need, but won’t spoon feed you.

We are a Ruby 3.1 and Rails 7.0 based SaaS platform, hosted on cloud technologies (currently Fly.io, but may be moved in the future). We use RSpec for our testing, and heavy use of Prawn (but experience is not essential).
