SeatGeek is a product-centric organization that deploys code into production multiple times per day. As we grow, the scale of our infrastructure and operating environment will continue to increase.
As a Database Reliability Engineer, you'll improve the SeatGeek Enterprise database technology ecosystem, database efficiency, and oversee SeatGeek's production database systems. SeatGeek’s database layer supports millions of transactions on a weekly basis, which means efficient, well-tuned systems have to be the default when it comes to deploying new queries, evaluating indexes and managing our SQL Server platform. The Database Reliability team is the backbone that supports SeatGeek Enterprise as we continue to grow our primary ticketing platform and support clients such as the Dallas Cowboys, Brooklyn Nets, and Manchester City FC.
What you'll do
Develop and refine processes to review overall database system performance across all SeatGeek Enterprise clients
Assist in performance testing with our team of SREs
Plan for future growth capacity
Participate in on-call / incident management schedule
Assist with continued client migrations from legacy data centers to AWS
Partner with the Enterprise engineering organization to help support them in getting the most out of our database systems
Train and collaborate with other departments on how to run production database systems and write effective queries
