We are currently searching for an AWS Cloud Automation – AWS CHEF:

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Experience deploying, maintaining and managing AWS based production and non-prod environment.
  • Strong experience in Infrastructure provisioning tools  – CHEF is a must.
  • Scripting and programming languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell, Golang, etc.)
  • Should have strong knowledge and experience in AWS Developer tool services (AWS codepipeline, AWS codecommit etc.)
  • Proficiency in building Linux and Windows systems. 
  • Deep understanding and Experience in AWS Cloud infra and Services. 
  • Experience administering application servers, web servers, and databases (Jetty, Tomcat, WebSphere, Nginx, Mongrel, Microsoft IIS, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) etc., Security Groups, Upgrading EBS Volume Types, take snapshot, create a custom AMI, Load Balancers and Health Checks, Cloud Watch EC2, Auto scaling Groups, Using IAM Roles with EC2.
  • Worked on Identity Access Management (IAM) like AWS permissions, Roles, Policies, MFA authentication, User permissions and Groups.
  • Establishing communication between web server and app server by adding appropriate security group with needed ports and adding redirection rules
  • Updating configuration files in GitHub and artifactory .(instances are integrated with chef). 
  • Updating SSL certificates for internally faced URLs using GitHub and artifactory , so that there won’t be any overlap of files.
  • Updating SSL certificates for externally faced URLs in WAF(incapsula) and on load balancer in AWS console.
  • Worked on CI/CD tools Jenkins and GIT version control system for continuous smooth code release process.
  • Configuring the distribution at the cloud front and Clearing cache at the cloud front.
  • Creating the s3 buckets and folders. Uploading the files in S3 buckets which are helpful in accessing the objects using the cloud front.
  • Good knowledge on Route 53, Domain name Registration (DNS). 
  • Created AMI images of critical ec2 instances as backup using AWS GUI. 
  • Setup and manage backup and recovery using snapshot, Utilize EBS to store persistent data and mitigate failure by using snapshots.
  • Configuring IAM roles for EC2 instances and assigns them policies granting specific level access to S3 buckets.
  • Creating S3 buckets and managing policies for S3 buckets and Utilized S3 buckets for storage and backup on AWS. 
  • Should have knowledge with SSO authentication using OIDC/SAML. 
  • Required strong System troubleshooting and problem solving. 
  • Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies required. 
  • Should have good communication skills to work with clients directly.
  • Should have experience in managing Service Management life cycle handling incident, changes, problem and request fulfillment 
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams. 
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality. 
  • Should have strong experience in handling multiple customers and key business users. 
  • Should have good communication skills.
  • Language: 

    • English Advanced.
    • Spanish Native.
