I’ve been developing a new Rails app this week and I’m just getting
started learning about unit tests and making them work. Unfortunately I
didn’t develop with testing in mind from the start, but I’m trying to do
it now.
When I run “Rake” by itself, it doesn’t run my tests. It does this:
C:\rails\comics\trunk>rake
(in C:/rails/comics/trunk)
C:/ruby/bin/ruby -Ilib;test
“C:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.7.1/lib/rake/
rake_test_loader.rb” “test/unit/blog_test.rb” “test/unit/comic_test.rb”
“test/un
it/comment_test.rb” “test/unit/page_test.rb” “test/unit/tags_test.rb”
“test/unit
/user_test.rb”
C:/ruby/bin/ruby -Ilib;test
“C:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.7.1/lib/rake/
rake_test_loader.rb” “test/functional/admin_controller_test.rb”
“test/functional
/blogs_controller_test.rb” “test/functional/comics_controller_test.rb”
“test/fun
ctional/comments_controller_test.rb”
“test/functional/pages_controller_test.rb”
“test/functional/tags_controller_test.rb”
“test/functional/users_controller_test
.rb”
C:/ruby/bin/ruby -Ilib;test
“C:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.7.1/lib/rake/
rake_test_loader.rb”
C:\rails\comics\trunk>
…and doesn’t seem to run any tests. What should I do?
