Hey there,

Has anyone already implemented some sort of basic auth to be used with
the
user/login-engine? I am asking because I want to offer personalized
feeds
for a small web-application and eventually someone knows or already has
such
a functionality and might share it :)

Thanks,
-j

Do you mean HTTP basic authentication? In which case I don't think so,
although we may look at it at work at some point.

James,

yep. I have built one of my web-apps upon the two rails-engines and a
personalized rss-feed is a must sooner or later, so I'll have to
implement it anyway. I'll open a ticket in the bug-system for http basic
auth support and will attach a patch to it as soon as I am done (unless
someone else already has done it by then). Does that sound ok?

Best regards / MfG,

Sure, a ticket is fine - make sure and mark it as enhancement, the
component is login_engine and milestone should be 1.2.0 (i.e. it's
speculative).

Thanks
