Helium Exchange, located in Andover MA, is a newly funded consumer
internet company, building a platform for market-driven, user-generated
publishing.

Heliumâ??s goal is to build the number one source of peer-ranked
user-generated content on the internet. Using a proprietary peer review
technology, Helium is revolutionizing the world of publishing. Now
millions of people can come together in one place to publish what they
know, and help sort the good from the bad in the process. The end result
is a vast marketplace of individual publishers who are helping consumers
more easily find good content.

Helium is looking for hard-working, bright, driven individuals with
consumer internet experience to join our team.

Helium Exchange is seeking a strong, self-motivated, intermediate web
software developer to help build our next generation application using
Ruby on Rails technology.

Our ideal candidate will have spent the past few years in a team
environment building web based applications using PHP, Python, or
Java/JSP. Experience with connecting an application to a MySQL or
Postgres database is a must. You donâ??t have to be a DBA, but you should
know the basics.

â?¢	Bachelorâ??s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
â?¢	Must have 2 â?? 3 years building web applications in a professional
environment.
â?¢	Strong communications skills.
â?¢	Ability to work independently while cooperating with the overall team.
â?¢	Ruby on Rails experience would be great, although not required.
â?¢	Strong technical skills with scripting languages such as PHP, ASP, and
Python.
â?¢	Java/OO experience a plus.
â?¢	Should be familiar with, and comfortable, writing dynamic applications
using a database backend.
â?¢	Familiarity with MySQL and Postgres.
