Forum: Ruby on Rails Problem with ActionMailer -- which looks really cool!

Whatever I do to try to connect including trying different ISPs, I
get the same errors, here they are:

Errno::ECONNREFUSED in Events#send_my_email

If this is similar to your last post, my bet would be as another
poster pointed out, which was the address of your mail server should
be smtp.albertafilmworks.com instead of mail.albertafilmworks.com.
Domains that start with "mail." are usually for POP3 access
(incoming) not SMTP (outgoing).

May not be your problem however.
