Forum: Ruby on Rails Deploying Multiple JRuby on Rails apps simultaneously

I currently have multiple JRuby on Rails applications that are deployed 
out
to multiple different servers.

The process currently involves:

   1. Precompiling assets
   2. Warbling
   3. SCP-ing the WARs out to their locations
   4. SSH-ing to each server to:
      1. Stop Tomcat
      2. Move the new WAR into Tomcat
      3. Start Tomcat

Does anyone know of an open source solution to help handle deployments 
like
this?

what about chef. if capistrano is not enough ...
