Forum: JRuby Java "import static" equivelent?

I couldn't find anything, but thought I may ask the question.

Basically wondering if there is an equivalent of "import static" for 
JRuby
so you could mixin static methods and variables from a Java class into a
Ruby class.

Figure I could put together a little gem + some meta programming to do 
this
without too much trouble, but figured it was worth asking in case JRuby 
had
it already built into the language.
