Forum: GNU Radio Darpa spectrum challenge

Hi,
    I just saw it on hacker news that DARPA has announced a Spectrum
Challenge to program a software defined radio to dominate the spectrum 
and
deploy the best protocol which performs best over other radios  in 
certain
pre defined conditions. It will start in January 2013 and the webpage is

I am sure it is for expert communication system designers. I am a novice 
in
gnuradio and interested in giving it a shot. Just wanted everybody in 
the
group to know about it and have a look.
