Redmine Installation durch Rails/Ruby Newbie

Hallo,

Ich versuche zum ersten Mal eine Ruby/Rails Anwendung (Redmine) zu
installieren.
So weit so gut: Sobald ich die Datenbank mit rake einrichten will
erhalte ich folgende Fehlermeldung:

rake db:migrate RAILS_ENV="production"

(in /home/redmine/redmine-0.8.3)
rake aborted!
invalid multibyte escape:
/\A(?:[\x9\xa\xd\x20-\x7F]|(?:[\x8E\xA1-\xFE][\xA1-\xFE])|(?:\x8F[\xA1-\xFE][\xA1-\xFE]))*\z/

Andere Probleme konnte ich mit dem Nachinstallieren von Paketen durch
GEM lÃ¶sen. Ich glaube, das klappt hier nicht mehr oder etwa doch?
