Deploying a rails app on Cherokee

Hi. I’m running Cherokee web server on Debian, and so far while I’ve
been learning Rails I’ve been hosting it on Mongrel. I want to be able
to put my rails app functions inside of a larger, broader web page, but
the tutorial (Cherokee recipes) didn’t have success: (I think) that I
setup FCGI for Ruby, but I’m really not sure.

  • The guide included copying a softlink to the rails public folder
into my web document root. This provided a host/AppName access, but
    ./AppName/Controllers/crap didn’t work.
Does anyone know the proper way to set up Rails (Or Ruby) for Cherokee.
If not, what options do I have in terms of tying my app into the web
    page?

Thanks a lot!
Cameron C.

I doubt that there is anyone here who will be able to answer your
question,
no matter how many times you repost it. This group is focussed on the
Ruby
language, although Rails is written in Ruby, and Rails questions
sometimes
get answered here, you’re much more likely to find help with these
questions
on the rails group
http://groups.google.com/group/rubyonrails-talkhttp://groups.google.com/group/rubyonrails-talk?hl=en
I’m a pretty experienced rails developer, and I have to admit that I’d
never
heard of Cherokee until your first posting. You should have a better
chance
to find someone who has on the rails grou.
