A leading digital media company is currently seeking a Heavyweight
Ruby on Rails developer to join their ever expanding client and server-
side development team. The successful candidate must have -
Ruby on Rails site/app development in an Apache webserver, MySQL and
mod_rails environment.
Comfortable with Rails 2.2.2, Ruby 1.8.6, MySQL
Knowledge and use of Rspec/Test::Unit and TDD
Excellent (X)HTML and CSS skills.
Solid Object Oriented Javascript skills (think AJAX and JSON)
Solid version control approach using Subversion
Solid approach to documentation, code commenting and change control.
Experience of the following would be advantageous but not essential –
Linux server configuration skills; Fedora 9/Redhat ES
Knowledge of, and experience with any of the following; Memcache,
Squid, and Javascript frameworks such as MooTools, facebooker,
attachment_fu, and the YouTube API.
