Ruby on Rails Developing Opportunities

Hello everyone,

I am working for a new client of ours that is looking for multiple Ruby
on Rails developers. They are a new company that is only a few years old
and are offering training to any IT professional that has exposure to
Ruby on Rails. I’ve attached a more detailed description for anyone
interested.

If you are not interested but can offer information that could better
our understanding of Ruby on Rails we would love a call.

Thanks for you time in reading this and I look forward to hearing from
some of you.

Warm regards,

Hi Megan,

I’ve been working on learning Rails since I was laid off about 4 weeks
ago. I’ve been reading the book “Agile Web D. with Rails” by
Pragmatic Bookshelf and have also been doing the exercises. My prior
background is that I’m an expert Perl programmer with many years
experience. I’m willing to do almost anything to get into Rails.
Please let me know if I should send my resume.

Thanks,
Jim Anderson

Hello,

I have quite a bit of experience developing software for IBM midrange
servers and I have worked on and off on the side doing web
development. I started with RoR about a year ago and created a
currently working application for a very important airport (have a non-
disclosure signed so I can’t say more).

I would be interested in knowing what this company is expecting from
the new hire and what are the conditions.

Thank you.

Pepe

Pepe,

They are expecting their candidates to know JAVA, MySQL, AJAX, SDLC, and
XTHML. Be willing to work in a casual laid back environment. Their
programmers do not just put their head down and code all day, they go to
staff meetings, gather requirements. And with the Ruby on Rails, they
are just looking for someone who has been exposed to it for a couple
months and that is driven to learn and can pick up quickly, because they
are offering a small training session.

Please send me your resume if you are interested and also if you know
anyone else who could be a good fit because there are 5 open positions.

Thanks!
