BTA IT is pleased to invite applications for this Ruby Developer role
with a growing Software Development company. My client is looking to
further expand their number of Ruby developers to accommodate its
increased amount of project work.

My client is looking for a skilled Ruby guru to join this small,
non-hierarchical team. If you can prove your stripes then the skies are
the limit with this company the more they grow, the more your grow! High
performance work environment and stunning package on offer.

My client is looking for a individual who can demonstrate a passion and
motivation for programming to join this close knit team and bring
extensive Ruby knowledge to the table. You will be the type of developer
that does not settle for just knowing what the job entails, you will be
always on the lookout for new languages and continual self improvement.

You will ideally posses:

Required skills:

- HTML and CSS
- Ruby on Rails
- Javascript and AJAX
- Unit testing and MVC
- Enthusiastic about new web technologies

Desired skills:

- Javascript UI libraries (especially YUI and prototype)
- Java, Perl, Python
- JSON, SOAP, REST
- Familiarity with Agile development
- Standards-compliant XHTML and design skills
- MySQL (views, triggers, replication, etc)

This rare opening is waiting for the right candidate to take control of
their careers and make the most of this opportunity, don't wait apply
now.

I would also like a list of blogs, internet sites and programming books
you read for continual self improvement. If your not a geek and don’t
love ruby, then this job is not for you!

This is an immediate requirement so email removed_email_address@domain.invalid
or call

beckons.

Shamael, I am very interested in this company you are representing as
from the job description and skills required they sound like they know
what they are doing when it comes to web development.

I am an experienced web application programmer (8+ years) and have all
the skills they mention aside from being an expert in Ruby. As to my
Ruby experience I have experimented with the language and played with
Ruby on Rails in my own time but have not had the opportunity to build
a large project on it.

Would this company have a position that does not require the applicant
to be an expert immediately?

As to the salary I would be looking for something around the 80k mark.

Cheers,

Nigel
