So, after creating a rather rudimentary MUD client in Ruby as part of my home-schooling curriculum, I have become interested in working on an actual MUD. I have made many simple works of interactive fiction, but thats just about it. I was wondering if anyone would like to give some input as to how to handle 'ticks', command queuing, and some bits of game logic (combat, movement, etc.).
