hello!
i’m having a really weird issue on a windows server running a ferret drb
(as a win service) that serves 4 mongrels balanced by an apache.
even after hours of trying i wasn’t able to reproduce it in a way that
makes sense :S
the problem is this:
sometimes ferret claims the query returned 0 hits when it absolutely
should return hits.
i could even resend the same query and then have a bunch of correct
results just to have one 0 result randomly in between.
this doesn’t seem to happen when i have only one mongrel running and i
absolutely couldn’t reproduce it on a script/console (yet).
i doubt that this is a bug in ferret or aaf since this works on at least
3 different machines. but something must be causing this and i can’t
figure out how to correct it. (i’ve already reinstalled ruby and the
ferret gem).
anyone any ideas what could interfere with these searches?
