Hi,

I've been working with prorotype for a while now....i think it's
excellent and am pretty confident with it. I've been reading through
some advanced examples that people have put up here and there and a
lot use .prorotype syntax. for example:

containingFunction.prototype.afunction = function() { ...

What is this?

I just don't get it! Have googled it but googleing prototype returns
the obvious!

This is an excellent question for the new mailing list. :-)

http://groups.google.com/group/prototype-scriptaculous?hl=en

Post it over there, and I'll follow up with some links about prototypal
inheritance in JavaScript.
