I recently exported Sean Cribbs' Comments extension and realized that there are absolutely no view files provided. Sean, was this intentional?

Arik, Wow, I can't believe anyone actually tried that. It was VERY incomplete, thus I didn't really announce it. Use Ryan's if you want something actually functional. 0.7 will be the blogging release (sorry, not for a while yet), so we'll probably cook something up based on Ryan's for that release. Sean

Ryan's doesn't work though. It seems to be conflicting with the page_group_permissions extension (specifically the only_allow_access_to method) Sean Cribbs wrote: > Arik, > > Wow, I can't believe anyone actually tried that. If you're really interested, I'll put it up on GitHub, then accept any patches you have for it. I don't have time to work on it right now and I'm planning to cancel my TextDrive account when it expires in June, so my SVN will go away. In the meantime, one can use HaloScan (as the Radiant blog does), or Disqus, which has nice looking comments forms (hellovenado.com uses this). Sean

Arik, Quick plug for Disqus comments -- Disqus has treated me very well. We've used it in a number of small projects and for these use cases it was better than a built-in commenting system as the additional publicity / community exposure created through the comment threads being aggregated on the Disqus site itself was a helpful... Also, I moved a several old blog entries from an earlier project to my Radiant site and was able to bring the comments along with me with no extra effort. Loren

I don't need an entire social network backing my comments. I just need simple comments (name, email, website, comment, that's it!). But Disqus is an interesting tool nonetheless, I may check it out. Not sure yet. Loren Johnson wrote: > Arik, > > Quick plug for Disqus comments -- > > Disqus has treated me very well.
