Hi everyone, I'm using Prototype/script.aculo.us for a some time but this is my first post in this group. So I don't know: Is this the right place or is it not... If not, please point my to the right place! For a project I'm working on right at the moment I want to use an interface like a product slider as you can see at apples homepage. http://www.apple.com/itunes/ for example I didn't found a solution with prototype, so I made one: Examples and a short doc: http://samisdat.org/files/c-slider/docs/en.html Available in German, too: http://samisdat.org/files/c-slider/docs/en.html Download http://samisdat.org/file_download/31/c-slider.zip I hope it works for you! But please note, that it is the initial release. I tested it with Firefox 1.5+, IE 7, Opera 9 and Safari all under Vista... I'm looking forward for your feedback. Bastian http://samisdat.org

I found a couple of things confusing. Testing in Safari, I was not able to drag the slider at all. Further, clicking either end-arrow moved the slider all the way from one end to the other. If I clicked on a name in the middle of the track, then the slider moved to match that position. But I found the controls otherwise to be confusing/ confused. Thanks for building this, keep up the great work! Walter

I added it to the script to http://scripteka.com, didn't know it... Thx for the hint I didn't came along this confusing things walter mentioned, in safari under windows it seems to work like expected. But I not sure about how much of the safari rendering is platform depending. Maybe a friend of mine will let me play with his holy mac while he's drinking the beer i spend;)
