I'm curious if anyone has any recommendation for email service providers. I'm currently using AuthSMTP and it's working out okay. I'm looking for a little more flexibility in which headers are available to set, and of course deliverability is always key. To give you an idea of scale, we'll probably send 10-20k emails a month. Long term it's looking like we'll need to maintain our own mail servers, but it would be nice to outsource sending emails to a third party early on. Jordan http://jordan.mckible.com

What's your budget? You should be able to send 10-20k messages through a small VPS or a dedicated server. This would give you the ultimate control and you'd know going in that your IP wasn't being blocked globally. Thanks, Jesse Proudman Blue Box Group, LLC p. 800-613-4305 x 801

The budget isn't really the deciding factor - I'm more concerned about ensuring deliverability and I don't have any experience setting up a mail server. I figured a third party would do a better job at handling best practices stuff. Jordan http://jordan.mckible.com

You should be able to find a provider who can help you get your initial setup configured the way you need it. I know that's something Blue Box Group will do... I'm sure there are others out there as well. And the end of the day, that's likely the most cost effective and most reliable method. Thanks, Jesse Proudman Blue Box Group, LLC p. 800-613-4305 x 801
