Forum: RForum Formatting Posts?

Are there any 'tags' to format a post?

i.e. [code]x = 10;[/code] - i tried that on my first post but it did not
work?

what about <code>x = 10;</code>

Also how do I edit my own posts? maybe that is not allowed?
