Hiya,

So as you can tell by me asking this question, I'm a huge noob to RoR.
I'm trying to get a feel for it by installing a Base Application to work
off of (from here:
http://www.opensourcerails.com/projects/505206-BaseApp2).

When I read the installation instructions, I do everything like rake the
db and start the server, but when it says to go to http://localhost:3000
I obviously can't because I'm not on its local server.

So I know that in order to view it by going to http://mydomain.com (the
files are located in the root directory), I need to change it to
production. But even when I start the server in production it gets me no
where. Is there apache configuration I have to do do?

Thanks for reading-
