I wouldn’t recommend this on ext3, except that you have less than 32.000
customers.
I’m using some kind of storage pools, so the structure on the filesystem
looks like this:
/data/strg_pool_id/customer_id/*.data
Basically I put ~1000 customers per storage pool, which is pretty useful
and avoids filesystems limitations.
I’m not going to have more than thousand customers. so its ok
I use ext4 - for unlimitet customers/files/dirs
